Welcome to Bryan Clisby Antique Clocks

On this site you will find examples of good English, Scottish & French clocks and barometers. The stock comprises longcase ( grandfather), bracket, wall and mantel clocks, and wheel and stick barometers. In longcase I have mahogany, oak, walnut and sometimes lacquered - both brass and painted dial.
I buy principally well proportioned clocks with well figured veneers, stringing or banding, and interesting dials such as moon, automaton and strike silent. Clocks are restored in our own workshops, as I have been doing for over 30 years. I try to keep the fine patina and colour acquired by generations of owners, and certainly do not strip and re-polish except where absolutely necessary. Movements are restored to give long and reliable use and are always guaranteed.
You will find the prices of my stock very competitive, as I am keen to keep a good turnover. The fun part of the business is replenishing the stock, and one cannot do that without actively selling!
Delivery in the UK is usually included within a reasonable range. I have been selling clocks to the USA for many years and customers who are unable to visit can buy with confidence from the website. As a further measure I am able to provide the name of a US citizen of considerable standing in the US who will be able to vouch for the service I offer.
The Main Showroom is sited in North-West Hampshire, near the borders with Berkshire and Surrey , at The Hartley Antique and Classics Centre, 63, High Street, Hartley Wintney , Hampshire. This is approximately 50 mins from London by car (via M3 or A30), whilst some stock is held at The Honeypot Antique Centre, Thursley road, Elstead, Surrey, again 50 mins from London via the A3.
